Connected Leaders

#TCEA8Chat is moving right along and with week two came another topic: Getting Connected. One of the most valuable, possible THE most valuable thing educators can do is get connected!

It makes me so happy to see teachers reaching out to others, collaborating, and sharing information and resources with one another! We're better together right!? Largely, I believe teachers and those who support teachers have figured this out.

What's more powerful than a connected teacher you ask? Well, my answer would be connected leaders. Leading and learning are words that go hand in hand. Or, rather, should go hand in hand.

In my neck of the woods, seeing an administrator connecting and collaborating with others via social media like Twitter is a breath of fresh air! Something I don't see very often, proof that learning does not and should not stop once degrees and certificates are achieved.

Lead by example. Model the qualities of lifelong learning. Others will take notice! We're all in this together, right?
